Anyone interested in going to Davenport for a baseball game before the school year starts at the “Best Minor League Baseball Park in the Country” as selected by USA Today? Kids young and old are invited. Friends are welcome too.
On Tuesday, August 6, at 6:30 p.m., the Quad City River Bandits play the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (High A minor league) at Modern Woodmen Park right next to the Mississippi River. Tuesday nights also feature $2 soft drinks, $2 hot dogs and a pennant giveaway sponsored by Pepsi. There are also amusement rides including a Ferris Wheel, a Carousel and other rides for a separate price which is discounted when bought in advance.
Tickets are $12 when bought as a group of 10 or more and paid in advance. Each person or group provides their own transportation to the park. Adjacent parking is $5.
