Introducing the Exciting Journey of Faith at St. John’s Sunday School.

- For our littlest ones, our Pre-School and Kindergarten program revolves around the key theme of teaching God’s love. - As children progress to 1st-2nd grade, they enter our Spark Classroom. Here, they embark on an exciting journey through key Bible stories. Each lesson is divided into four parts: Gather, Open the Bible, Activate Faith, and Send. Through interactive activities and discussions, we encourage them to explore the depths of these timeless stories, igniting their curiosity and deepening their understanding of their faith.
- In 3rd grade, our Spark Classroom continues to explore key Bible stories, following the same four-part structure as before. This allows children to further immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of biblical teachings, encouraging them to connect with the stories on a personal level and apply these valuable lessons to their own lives.
- For our 4th-5th graders, we offer the Spark Lectionary program. This unique curriculum connects children with the Bible stories they hear during worship, creating a bridge between their Sunday School experience and the larger faith community. By delving into these stories through the four-part structure of Gather, Open the Bible, Activate Faith, and Send, children develop a deeper understanding of the word of God, fostering a stronger connection to their faith.
- Finally, our Connect program is specially designed for tweens in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Tailored to their unique needs and interests, Connect provides them with Bibles, videos, and learner sheets that cleverly combine solid theology with quirky humor. This engaging approach ensures that tweens remain captivated and connected to their faith during their formative years, laying a strong foundation for their spiritual journey ahead.
